Shannon, is a grade 6 in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board who made blankets for animals at the Ottawa Humane Society!
Below is an article that appeared on the Ottawa Humane Society website, documenting her visit!
Shannon H. is a “Humane Hero” and the OHS is grateful for her act of kindness!
This charming grade 6 student collected blankets at her school for a “Who Is Nobody” (www.whoisnobody.com) project. And with the help of her mother, she cut and sewed the material into cute and cozy creations for our shelter animals to snuggle in.
According to Shannon, this was her way of giving back in honour of her cat, Jess, who was adopted from the OHS by her family in 2006.
